WARNING: If you own ANY copy of this book or are going to purchase a copy - DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK - if you open the pages more than Sixty (60) Degrees apart the spine will break - or even worse the pages will break away from the spine and pop out of the book. I now have a pile of loose pages and a completely worthless book. I give this warning because I know that I am not the only one this has happened to. If you try to read this book the spine will break - this is a sure thing.

Synopsis for Herne’s Lady ~

Lady Olivia Farrington is bequeathed an unbelievable inheritance, a large section of the old royal hunting grounds. As she peruses the grounds she is haunted by both an evil citizen Sir Lucas Corbin and the sounds of a horn. It is said that the horn belongs to Herne, The Hunter. A very old legend of the guardian of the woods and all that live within.

NOTE: As you can see with the images posted, the boards are printed with different patterns and the spines are different colors. What is not shown is that the end papers are colored to match the spines and the slipcases are printed to match the spines also. What is not known (by this site) is how many different patterns exist.

I have included multiple images so that the 3 different states can be compared. (With the exception of # 5, I have been able to physically compare the copies listed below or have conversed with the owner, thus allowing me to list the different states in which this book was released)

In the Second Image - books # 5 and # 9 appear to be identical, both with the funky paper boards, simulated brown marble leather spines, cream end papers & brown cloth slipcase.

In the Third Image - book # 46 has marbled cloth boards (actually paper with lots of cloth threads embedded), simulated brown marble leather spine, heavy-duty brown end papers, and brown cloth slipcase.

In the Fourth Image - books # 94 and # 108 appear to be identical and have marbled cloth boards (actually paper with lots of cloth threads embedded), simulated green marble leather spine, heavy-duty green end papers, and green cloth slipcase.

In the Fifth Image - book # 143 has a different funky paper boards, simulated brown marble leather spine, cream end papers & brown cloth slipcase.

In the Sixth Image - the second state book "C" of 26 lettered copies the cloth boards are a higher grade cloth, with brown marbled leather spine, brown cloth covered slipcase, with no info on end papers.

In the Seventh Image - the third state "Specially Bound Author Copy" the boards are a high quality paper, smooth black leather spine, embossed green end papers (a lot thinner than the numbered copies), and the slipcase is covered in cloth with raised ridges that give it a 3d or holographic look.

In the Eighth Image - also third state "Specially Bound Author Copy" has been described to me as having marbled cloth boards (actually paper with lots of cloth threads embedded), simulated brown marble leather spine, heavy-duty brown end papers, and brown cloth slipcase. (this confuses me because I'm not seeing why it is called a "Specially Bound Author Copy" if it is the same as copies # 46 & # 94)
